ON A MISSION

On A Mission is a tale of triumph and determination. A Reconstruction story of two little girls resolved to find their mother who is kidnapped and sold at the time when slaves are being emancipated. Despite their youth, they set out upon a daring journey to reunite with her. During their travels they meet a cross-section of humanity, some who help them and others who hinder them. The girls soon learn that many different kinds of people can be good and kindhearted, and not all folks are like the ones who made them feel sad and angry by taking their mother away. A variety of people aid and assist them on their quest. Along the way, the girls receive an education in humanity that good and evil have no color.
